Spokespersons elected
20 people showed up at the Sunday meeting. We discussed about who will represent Sangaree at the Berkeley County Council meeting. Several people volunteered as speaker so we decided to put it to a vote. Dan Williams and Suzette Joyce were elected.
As a community we need to show up at the Berkeley County Council meeting. Even though we now have spokespersons we still need the community to come out strong in numbers.

I was pleased to see a decent turnout to the meeting since it was scheduled on a couple days notice. It is good that we have spokesmen. But we need as many people as possible to get to the meeting in Moncks Corner next Monday night. Having a strong presence behind our spokesmen will be important. I agree that we should focus on one or two issues every meeting. I am going to try to talk to Dennis Fish as he is my accountant and I know him much better than Cathy Davis. I will also talk to my HOA (Cobblestone) and try to get our president or VP to the meeting. Our President, she has been very good getting the ear of the Sangaree Tax District and Berkeley County, including Code Enforcement. She would be a good person to speak as well. Let’s keep the good momentum going!

I was unable to make Sunday’s meeting and hate that I missed it. I hope this isn’t a stupid question but what will be the main focus of our spokespersons? I know it will be the crime in general but what exactly will they be asking for? How can we contact our spokespersons? I may not be able to make it to the meeting due to my work hours on Monday.

My understanding is that the reps will address the number of officers per residents. This will not be Sangaree specific, but for BCSD in general.

Lisa, What Keith an Ally said. When we go this meeting, we need to be focused and oragnized. We need as many people as possible to come to show the strength in numbers. And we need to keep it to one issue each month. This month, we are working on a bigger police presence. Adn we do need to state this for the whole county in general.
