I live in Cobblestone, bordering the Cove. Had a bunch of young teenagers in a barn. They were playing around in the barn, but they also threw s–t like sticks and a lighter into the yard. I yelled at them and told them to stop. They did. They also threw plastic chairs all around the ditch area.

Also beware of a company known as “At Your Service” owned by a character named John Tuttle. He is a crook. He was supposed to have our house finished in two weeks. Two weeks turned into 3 months. He convinced us that he was having family problems. Foolishy we advanced him the last payment that was owed to him, and he PROMISED us he would have the work completed by the time we returned from vacation. He did not complete his job here, and he will not return any of our phone calls. How do I get in touch with the solicitor?

To Bilked: Was the company licensed, bonded, and insured? I took the liberty of looking them up in the phone book and called and the number has been disconnected. I work for G&S Home Remodeling. Give me a call if want to, I will try and help you track them down.

The children were out again last night. They had thrown something else out into the yard. I cannot remember what. They were out there till dark. Not crime, really, just annoying.

I don’t know if anybody else noticed, but where have all of the Berkeley County cops gone. For a week or two after our last meeting they were everywhere in the community. It seems like the farther we get away from the meeting and the press dies down the cops dissapear. I hope this is not a trend where they go back to the no patrols in our community.

Actually two Berkeley County officers were in Sangaree last Monday in the morning. They had a car pulled over and the driver was in the backseat of the patrol car. The cops were going through the trunk of the suspect’s car.

To Lisa..Thank you for your concern. No, John Tuttle, of “At Your Service”, is not licensed, bonded, and insured, that we know of. He had an ad in the yellow pages of the 2006 phone book. In the 2007 phone book, he has it listed in the regular white pages. Yes, I know his land line number has been disconnected, but his cell phone number is 532-7515, and it’s still a working number…saying, “You have reached “At Your Service” Yadda yadda I noticed in the 2007 phone book, his address is listed as Princess Lane. On the CONTRACT, John Tuttle has his address as 4696 State Road..in Ridgeville. The IRS has his address as 2149 McDaniel Town Road, Ridgeville, SC 29472. We have all the cancelled checks, and we are making darn sure that he pays taxes on the money we paid him to do our house. He is such a con artist, and the IRS will surely audit him.
