Your Sangaree Connection webmaster, that’s me, has been working on some minor improvements to the website to improve usability. Among the changes:
I upgraded the mailing list program to allow you to automatically subscribe and unsubscribe. All messages from the mailing list will include instructions on how to subscribe and unsubscribe. Instructions for joining the mailing list are also available on the website.
Also, I updated the Contact Us form. The improvement mostly affects my end of things as it allows me to respond to your messages more easily.
Finally, I found that the RSS feeds weren’t configured correctly. The problem has been solved and you can now use a feed reader to check for website updates. Links to the feeds are available in the “Meta” section of the sidebar.
If you have any questions about these changes or suggestions for further improvements to the website, please do not hesitate to contact me. I welcome any comments that you may have!

The Sangaree Connection community calendar is updated frequently with events and meetings throughout Sangaree and Summerville. A quick list of events is on every page to the right.
If you have an event or meeting that is open to the public, and you would like to publicize it on the Sangaree Connection, please e-mail the webmaster. All listings are free!

Speaking of the Post and Courier… the P&C maintains a list of local blogs and they have just added Sangaree Connection’s blog to their list! Dan Conover, the Lowcounty Blog’s webmaster has this to say about community blogs like ours:
My spidey sense is tingling on this one, because I suspect that community blogs (or their equivalent) will become ubiquitous in our lifetimes. They just make a lot of sense.

I have just installed a new contact form on the “Contact Us” page, which is not as easy as it sounds when you have a seven pound cat sleeping on your wrists. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming…
