Tax District Meeting Canceled / Nat’l Night Out Party Tonight

I have just received word that the Sangaree Special Tax District Commission meeting scheduled for this meeting was canceled yesterday. It has not yet been re-scheduled. When I receive word on when the meeting will be, I will let you know.

Also, the National Night Out event is TONIGHT! It is being held in the field next to the library and starts at 5:30 p.m. Please stop by for a fun party and get to know your neighbors. If you can bring any food, the organizers would appreciate it. They can use: hamburger/hot dog buns, desserts, potato chips and other snacks, etc.

Thank you for your support! I’ll see you tonight!

Update: Beware of Security Alarm Salemen Patrolling Sangaree

Update: The company that is soliciting customers in Sangaree is APXALARM Security Solutions not Apex Alarm. Apex Alarm are the good guys from California. The rest of the post has been corrected.

I recently received the following message from a concerned resident of Sangaree that was taken advantage of by a security alarm firm called APXALARM.

Not only did they scam a fellow resident into purchasing an inferior alarm system, but they are also fraudulently using the name and trademark of an actual security alarm company, Apex. When contacted by the Sangaree resident who purchased the alarm system, Apex Alarm claimed that they are not affiliated with these salesmen in any way. Read the rest of this entry »

New Trash Cans

By now, you have probably received a new trash can at your home. You may be wondering why, and if you get to keep the old one.

The Sangaree Special Tax District has switched to a new garbage collection company. The new trash cans were issued by Waste Disposal for us to use. Suburban Disposal, the former garbage collectors, should have picked up your old cans by now.

If they have not picked up your old can, and judging by my e-mail inbox, Suburban missed several trash cans out there, call Suburban Disposal at 873-4810.
